I worked for California State University, Fullerton for 5 years both as a student assistant, graduate assistant to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and also as the college graphic designer. In my last year I collaborated with the marketing director in creating digital and print assets for different college programs. One yearly campaign was the study abroad program of which I designed a series of 10 flyers.
Below are just a few of the projects I was either invited to do or handed off. You can find out more information about the Welebaethan project here.
Some of the projects I worked on at CSUF involved designing flyers for student events, college events, and assisting professors in creating layouts for articles. I designed graphics for the campus monitors, migrated web page content during Omni updates, created banner designs, and designed the layouts of programs and invitations. In this experience I applied my studies from the MA program in English I completed by providing light editing and writing assistance to the marketing director.
As a graduate assistant I worked closely with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs on a variety of projects. I greeted students using our facility, monitored check ins and appointments with the dean, conducted light administrative tasks, trained newly hired staff, designed the monthly newsletter, compiled articles and wrote articles for the H&SS Newsletter, photographed and video taped campus events to create digital media for the website, and assisted the marketing director in the creation of digital assets. I worked with both faculty and students as a liason and assisted the dean.
